The Research Group \u00ab\u00a0Role of Matrix Proteins in Hypoxia and Angiogenesis\u00a0\u00bb has an open postdoctoral position to work at the Center for Interdisciplinary Research (CIRB) of the College de France, Paris.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The focus is on the identification of the mechanisms regulating angiogenesis by platelet derived growth factors. Bioactive angiogenic factors are stored and released by platelets and are involved in building and remodeling blood vessels.
\nThe laboratory is part of a growing and lively collaborating group of biologists at the CIRB and both physicists and chemists at Coll\u00e8ge de France and involves a close collaboration with Nutrition, Ob\u00e9sit\u00e9 et Risque Thrombotique (NORT), UMR Inserm 1062, Facult\u00e9 de M\u00e9decine Timone, Marseille.<\/p>\n

The development of this project will involve 3-D cell culture models of angiogenesis as well as animal models consisting of tumor implantation in mice.<\/p>\n

We are looking for highly motivated scientists
\n– with a good background in cell biology and cell imaging
\n– an orientation towards interdisciplinary work
\n– a strong track-record of publications in peer-reviewed journal.<\/p>\n

This position is financed by a grant from Astra-Zeneca (ITMO CMN), has no nationality restriction and the working language is French and\/or English.
