{"id":1456,"date":"2013-10-17T19:03:17","date_gmt":"2013-10-17T19:03:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.sfbmec.fr\/?p=1456"},"modified":"2016-12-12T01:02:05","modified_gmt":"2016-12-12T01:02:05","slug":"young-investigator-award-matrix-biology-europe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.sfbmec.fr\/?p=1456","title":{"rendered":"Urgent: Young Investigator Award &#8211; Matrix Biology Europe 2014"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The SFBMEc council requests applications from current SFBMEc members to become the SFBMEc nomination for the 1<sup>st<\/sup> Dick Heineg\u00e5rd European Young Investigator Award.\u00a0 Candidates for this award should have no more than 5 years postdoctoral research experience as of 1<sup>st<\/sup>\u00a0October 2013 and a demonstrable track record of excellence in matrix biology research.\u00a0 Candidates should apply by sending their CV and an abstract of the work to be presented at the MBE\/FECTS 2014 conference, combined in <b>a single .pdf file<\/b>, to Franck CARREIRAS (<a href=\"mailto:franck.carreiras@u-cergy.fr\">franck.carreiras@u-cergy.fr<\/a>) by <b>November, 25<sup>th<\/sup> 2013<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>The winner of the SFBMEc nomination will receive a full SFBMEc bursary to cover all reasonable expenses associated with attending the MBE\/FECTS 2014 conference (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.mbe2014.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">http:\/\/www.mbe2014.eu\/<\/span><\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>The competition will be run as follows. In stage one of the competition, each MBE\/FECTS affiliated National Matrix Biology Society will select its own nominee for the award. In stage 2, The Young Investigator Awards Committee of MBE\/FECTS will select the 6 strongest nominations for presentation during the Young Investigator Award Session of the MBE\/FECTS conference 2014 in Rotterdam.\u00a0 In stage 3, immediately following the Young Investigator Award Session, the MBE\/FECTS Awards Committee will meet and decide on The Dick Heineg\u00e5rd European Young Investigator awardee, based on the overall quality of the science track record and the oral presentation.\u00a0The awardee will receive a certificate and a cheque (~ 1000 euros) at the closing ceremony of the conference.<\/p>\n<p>Full details of the competition will be posted on the MBE\/FECTS conference website (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.mbe2014.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">http:\/\/www.mbe2014.eu\/<\/span><\/a>) where further details for the conference can also be found.
