A<\/span> postdoc<\/span> position<\/span><\/strong> (1<\/span>8<\/span> months<\/span> plus<\/span> opportunit<\/span>y<\/span> for<\/span> r<\/span>enewal)<\/span> is<\/span> available<\/span> in<\/span> the<\/span> Tumor <\/span><\/strong>Microenvironment<\/strong> group<\/strong><\/span> of<\/span> Gertraud Orend<\/span><\/strong> (<\/span>INSERM U1109<\/span>, Strasbourg<\/span>)<\/span> to investigate the <\/span>tumor microenvironment at cellular and molecular level<\/span>.<\/span> Th<\/span>e Orend<\/span> laboratory<\/span> (<\/span>https:\/\/orend<\/span>–<\/span>tme<\/span>–<\/span>group.com<\/span><\/a>)<\/span> is specialized<\/span> i<\/span>n the<\/span> analysis of the<\/span> tumor microenvironment<\/span> with<\/span> particular<\/span> emphasis o<\/span>n <\/span>the extracellular matrix molecule<\/span> tenascin<\/span>–<\/span>C (<\/span>Yilmaz et al., 2022,<\/span> J Cell Sci<\/span><\/em>,<\/span> Midwood et al., 2016, <\/span>J Cell Sci<\/span><\/em>) in<\/span> tumor<\/span> angiogenesis (<\/span>Saupe et al., 2013,<\/span> Cell Reports<\/span><\/em>,<\/span> Rupp et<\/span> al., 2016,<\/span> Cell <\/span>Reports<\/span><\/em>)<\/span>, metastasis (<\/span>Sun et al., 201<\/span>8<\/span>,<\/span> Cancer Res<\/span><\/em>,<\/span> Sun et al., 2019,<\/span> Mat<\/span>rix<\/span> Bio<\/span><\/em>) and<\/span> tumor <\/span>immunity (<\/span>Murdamoothoo et al., 2021,<\/span> EMBO Mol Med<\/span><\/em>,<\/span> Spenle et al., 2020,<\/span> Cancer Immun Res <\/span><\/em>Deligne<\/span> et al.,<\/span> 2020,<\/span> C<\/span>ancer Immun Res<\/span>,<\/span>).<\/span><\/p>\n

We offer:<\/span><\/strong> a highly dynamic and supportive group of<\/span> colleagues including<\/span> researchers, postdocs,<\/span> and <\/span>PhD students and technical<\/span> support<\/span> with expertise in extracellular matrix research, murine tumor <\/span>models and tumor immunity.<\/span> The salary remuneration<\/span> follows<\/span> INSERM<\/span> guidelines<\/span> taking into account <\/span>pr<\/span>e<\/span>vious experience.<\/span><\/p>\n

We search:<\/span><\/strong> a<\/span> highly<\/span> motivated scientist with background in tumor biology,<\/span> mouse tumor models, <\/span>immunology<\/span>,<\/span> cell culture<\/span> and biochemistry<\/span>, high team spirit and good English communication skills. <\/span>T<\/span>he candidate will<\/span> map the<\/span> tenascin<\/span>–<\/span>C regulated matrix<\/span>–<\/span>immune landscape in its temporal and <\/span>spatial context in an interdisciplinary consortium of<\/span> 6<\/span> e<\/span>xpert<\/span>s<\/span> in cell and cancer biology, proteomics, <\/span>transcriptomics, genomics, molecular interactomics analysis and cancer pathology.<\/span> The a<\/span>im of this <\/span>project is to generate novel diagnostic and therapeutic tools to improve cancer treatment.<\/span><\/p>\n
