Collagen Gordon Research Conference – July 12-17, 2015 – Colby-Sawyer College, New London, NIH

Please read the announcement made below on the behalf of the organizing committee of the 2015 Collagen Gordon Research Conference:

Dear Colleagues,

We hope that you are planning to participate in the 2015 Collagen Gordon Research Conference, which will take place July 12-17, 2015 at Colby-Sawyer College, New London, NIH. We don’t have enough slots (and money) to ask all of you to come as invited speakers, as we would like. Yet, we hope to see you at the meeting. Please remind your students, fellows and friends to submit their applications as well. The current version of the meeting program is posted (and will be updated as needed) on the meeting web site. It is also available for downloadhere.

Please submit your application at: http://www.grc.org/programs.aspx?id=12175. The meeting is limited to 178 participants and it is filling up very quickly (53 of the 178 spots reserved as of April 2). Please apply early to reserve your spot.

As in previous years, the meeting will be preceded by the Collagen Gordon Research Seminar (GRS), which will take place July 11-12 at the same site. The GRS is a great venue for your students and junior fellows to present and discuss their work.

We are planning to select 11 talks (15+5 min) from abstracts submitted to GRS and GRC (at least 5 from GRS). A one hour long Late-Breaking Topics session will have additional talks. The decision on speakers for this session and format of their talks will be made as soon as all participant spots are filled or right after the closing date for meeting applications (June 14). Please do not hesitate to let us know if you have any hot new results to present at this session and indicate the time you need to present them.

Please share this letter and the attached program with your friends and colleagues interested in collagen-related research. To continue the tradition of excellence of Collagen GRCs and to ensure vibrant discussions, it is important to have broad participation in the meeting.

With best regards,

Sergey Leikin, GRC Chair
Florence Ruggiero, GRC Vice Chair

PS: We are working hard on soliciting funding for the meeting. Please let us know if you or your students need support for travel expenses. We cannot promise anything yet, but we do hope to have some funds for such support. Of course, we would greatly appreciate any help with soliciting funding from your colleagues in industry. (Logos of all current sponsors are shown on the meeting website; donations can be made online at https://www.grc.org/contributions/contribution.aspx?v1=12175).
