Research engineer position EPFL (Ecole polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne)

Your mission
You will participate in the maintenance and daily operation of high-end electron microscopes and provide technical assistance and support to trained users.
Main duties and responsibilities include :

  • management of high-end transmission electron microscopes
  • maintenance and daily operation of microscopes
  • provide technical assistance to users
  • contribute to basic user training

Your profile

  • engineering school level education: haute-ecole superieur (HES) or equivalent
  • experience with high-tech lab equipment (vacuum systems, analytical instruments, clean room facilities or similar), experience in electron microscopy (not absolutely necessary)
  • solid knowledge of computer systems (Windows, Mac, network systems)
  • you like to ineract with clients/users
  • skills in French and English speaking and writing
