The French Society for Extracellular Matrix Biology (SFBMEc) is inviting applications from doctoral students and postdoctoral fellows for travel grants to support attendance at conferences on which they will present and promote their scientific data focused on the extracellular matrix:

• Grants of €350 for national conferences.
• Grants of €500 for international conferences.

The conferences could be on extracellular matrix topic but not necessarily. Application will be selected according to the ability of the candidate abstract to promote ECM topics on any specialties.

The application requirements: Applications must include the following documents (compiled into a single PDF file):

• A cover letter (one page maximum)
• A CV (including the name and contact details of the host laboratory and the thesis supervisor for PhD students or team leader for postdoctoral students),
• A list of publications (indicating the status (published, under review or submitted), and conference presentations (oral or poster)
• A summary of the work to be presented at the conference,
• The conference program and its website address.

Eligibility: Both the applicant and their supervisor (thesis advisor or team leader) must be current SFBMEc members for 2025. Non-members must attach proof of membership application, downloadable from the SFBMEc website. The membership fee (check, bank transfer, or purchase order) must be sent, along with the registration form, to our Treasurer: ulrich.valcourt@ibcp.fr.

• Deadline: October 15, 2025
• Submit the complete application as a single PDF document to: albanese@u-pec.fr
• Applicants must have submitted an abstract to the selected conference or commit to submitting it before the abstract deadline.

If selected, the grant will be paid upon submission of proof of expenses (conference registration, travel, and accommodation related to the conference) to our Treasurer: ulrich.valcourt@ibcp.fr.

Awardees must also include the SFBMEc logo on their poster and/or oral presentation, if selected by the conference organizing committee.
